My Path to Shamanic Healing and Energy Work
For many years, I carried shame, sadness, insecurity, depression and a deep sense of aloneness. My desire to feel better led me to healers, psychics and teachers of many kinds. I searched, experimented, numbed myself at times, and tried many different ways of putting the pieces of myself back together.
Gradually, I found people who had worked deeply enough with their own wounds to help me meet mine with greater compassion. They helped me learn to trust my intuition, soften the way I spoke to myself, and recognize the thoughts and patterns that were no longer serving me.
Then, around 2016, a single word came to me:
SHAMAN.
It took three years for the meaning of that moment to begin revealing itself.
Eventually, I found my teachers at The Power Path School of Shamanism. From there, I was guided to Reiki and became a Reiki Master. Light language and channeled song began to emerge. I trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, then as a Trance Channeler, while my psychic and intuitive abilities continued to unfold.
Throughout all of this, I kept working on myself.
For a long time I was following a path that I thought would lead me to inner peace, a feeling of belonging and self acceptance. Over time I came to understand what many of my teachers told me about my path:: when we devote ourselves to our own healing, we become capable of helping illuminate the way for others and meet another human being with the compassion that comes from having been there ourselves.
I don’t believe healing means arriving at a perfect, finished version of ourselves. Life continues to bring lessons, discoveries and opportunities to become more fully who we are. I continue to meet my own, just as I support my clients in meeting theirs.
